ABOUT

BIO

It’s about passion.

That’s the theme that’s threaded through my story, holding on to the roller coaster with both hands as it flew from the UK all the way through Hollywood.

Passion pushed me through years of training and hard work, starting from studying make-up effects at Universal Studios, Florida at age fifteen, through my years in the Cambridge theatre, to graduation from the internationally-renowned, and extremely competitive, London College of Fashion.
A series of fortunate events landed me at Jim Henson’s Creature Shop during the golden age of practical effects and makeup in the 90s. I was knee-deep in those five incredible stories of creatures and creativity for the next six years, sinking my teeth into the best the business had to offer. I received my first Emmy Award during that time as a prosthetic makeup artist.

My passion drove me to the film and television industry in Los Angeles, where my team and I have enjoyed creating special effects to strike fear and awe in the hearts of audiences ever since.

STEVIEFX

Although no one can forget the second word in “show business”, the team at Stevie FX has always felt more like family to me.

Not everyone understands that the industry, with its long hours, time between projects, demanding conditions and other strange quirks, is not so much a job as a lifestyle. It takes a certain type of person to not only endure it, but to love it and thrive in it, continuing to grow as an artist. So when I find the right type of like-minded creator, I do my best to carve out a place for them at Stevie FX.

My artists’ health and safety is priority #1, so I provide them with the best equipment possible for their protection. I strive to build as much normalcy as possible into the lives of the core team, providing as stable of a schedule as possible.

We can meet the needs of any size production, with a tight-knit group of full-time artists on staff, and a wide range of contract artists available for large-scale or time-intensive work.

We are a full-service prosthetics lab, with specialties that include:
